Cassandra Jenner, Distant From Dad, Refuses With Brothers To Appear On Caitlyn Jenner Docu-Series, And Here’s Why [Video]

Cassandra Jenner recalls a distant father when she speaks of Caitlyn Jenner, formerly Bruce. Together with the oldest Jenner children, Brody, Brandon, and Burt, Cassandra is candid about how she feels regarding the past and what she hopes for the future with Caitlyn Jenner, reported Fox News.

And it’s creating a chasm among the Kardashians, represented by Khloe, Kim, and Kourtney, and the youngest Jenners, represented by Kylie and Kendall Jenner, and the four older siblings. With a new docu-series coming up to chronicle the transition from Bruce Jenner to Caitlyn Jenner, Cassandra and her brothers also are making it clear that they don’t agree with the decision to have what they see as another reality show.

“I would happily have traded a distant father for a loving, involved mom,” says Cassandra of the past.

But while she’s focused on reflecting how the person that she knew growing up treated her, she also agrees with her brother Burt.

“I have high hopes that Caitlyn is a better person than Bruce,” said Burt.

For Brandon, the transition has its uncomfortable moments.

“Whoa, I’m still your son,” said Brandon when he saw Caitlyn pull up her dress to reveal the results of the breast augmentation.

Although the Kardashian sisters and youngest Jenners did not know about the transition, the four older children knew at different times.

Cassandra and Burt learned at ages 11 and 13, when their mom told them. Brandon noticed the changes that occurred in his father in the 1980s, while Brody was not informed about the transition until he was 29.

And while all four of these children do support Caitlyn’s authentic self, they also refuse to be part of E!’s docu-series that will showcase the transition.

In contrast, Kendall and Kylie as well as Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney will appear on the series.

Why the chasm between the two factions? The older Jenner children, in particular Brody and Brandon, are worried that the docu-series will turn into another Keeping Up With The Kardashians, reported Radar Online.

“The series has an option for a second season and Brody and Brandon are fearful Caitlyn’s show will become a scripted reality show a la Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” said an insider.

Moreover, the older children are concerned that the docu-series will result in a backlash for Caitlyn, added the source.

“The show hasn’t even aired yet, and E! is ready to sign it up for another season because everyone knows the show is going to be a huge ratings hit. Caitlyn’s children just don’t want her to be mocked or ridiculed because of the show.”

As the Inquisitr reported, Joel Grey waited until he was 82 to come out and reveal he’s gay because he, too, feared the response. Supported by his daughter, Dirty Dancing star Jennifer Grey, the famous Cabaret actor also noted that, like Jenner, family and friends knew about his orientation before his public announcement.
