Kim Dress, Fire: ‘Fireman’ Pharrell, Wife ‘Save’ KK’s Life At CFDA’s

She’s hot, but last night at the 2015 CFDA Fashion Awards, Kim Kardashian nearly went up in flames — her dress that is. Reportedly, KK’s fashionable frock caught fire, but thanks to the quick action of Pharrell and his wife, the pregnant mom’s “life was saved,” according to an ET report.

Kim’s alleged dress fire has few details available. But the expecting mom took to Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook to give her good friends props for the “life-saving” act — whatever that might be.

“Shout out to Pharrell & Helen who saved my life last night! LOL After the awards at dinner the feathers of my dress caught on fire from a candle & they jumped on me to get it out! #WereOn.”

Mama Kim and Kanye took to the red carpet and were among throngs of other A-listers to support the Council of Fashion Designers of America awards gala. The event is likened to the Academy Wards, only it wasn’t about films; the celebration recognizes some of the biggest trendsetters in style and fashion.

Pharrell not only doused Kim’s dress fire; the “Happy” singer and Voice coach received CFDA’s Fashion Icon award. It was presented Kardashian’s husband.

Sources say Kim took the dress inferno in stride despite having a cold. The pregnant mom has a lot on her plate: Keeping Up with the Kardashians reality TV show, being a mom to North West, managing her successful brands, processing the transition of Bruce Jenner to Caityln Jenner, having a close call with a wardrobe malfunction, and being pregnant with her second child.

On the latter, Kim Kardashian was seen earlier on the same day of the dress fire — twice since making the big baby announcement. On one occasion, photographers snapped Kim and Kanye exiting their SOHO residence. Then, KK was looking bad to the bone. She donned a pair of skintight jeans, peep-toe heels, and a black top that offered the subtle appearance of a baby bump.

On the second sighting, the fashion diva changed into form-fitting leggings and a matching top that looked like a gray catsuit. She accentuated the get-up with a matching long trench coat. The photographer took the picture at the exact moment Kim placed her arm across her growing belly, as if shielding it from prying eyes.

It’s unknown where the actual fire took place or if Kim’s dress was alight at all. But playing along with the narrative, big ups is in order for Pharrell and his bride for the “happy” ending.
