‘Bachelorette’ Kaitlyn Bristowe Wishes Clint Arlis Treated Her Like He Treated J.J. Lane
In her blog for People, Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe talked about the “Clint-hanger” that was Monday night’s episode. Like last week’s installment, the show did not end with a rose ceremony — instead, viewers were left wondering what would become of Clint Arlis, a Bachelorette contender who had professed love for fellow suitor J.J. Lane. After hearing from several of the other men that Clint and J.J. were not being honest with her, the show implied Kaitlyn planned to send Clint home.
“Clint and JJ, sittin’ in a tree. Wow, that was something serious. It’s crazy how much I didn’t see. I just wish Clint could have treated me like he treated JJ.”
Clint got the first one-on-one date with Kaitlyn last week, when they went to an underwater photo shoot. By all accounts, the date went well. This week, however, Clint stayed away from Kaitlyn during the group date when they learned how to sumo wrestle. His choices did not sit well with Bristowe.
“I was surprised Clint held back throughout the date. He didn’t talk to me once the entire date. It was really unfortunate, especially after having such a great [one-on-one] date with him.”
The Chicago Tribune quoted Arlis’ explanation of why he held back.
“After the one-on-one date we had, I would think that if she cared to talk anymore, she would put forth the effort.”
The Daily Mail recounted that Clint told the Bachelorette cameras that he would fight to stay on the show just to spend more time with J.J. In a teaser clip for next week’s show, the two men are shown to have an angry confrontation.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, show insiders told TMZ Clint and J.J. are not actually gay and the “bromance” is a stunt. Arlis has taken heat on social media as a result.
Arlis, nonetheless, seems to have been enjoying the attention brought by the program, even retweeting fan comments about his “villain” storyline.

@ClintonArlis How’d you go from sweet and romantic mer-man in one episode to evil villain the next? LOL — Shannon Nicole (@xSnicolex) June 2, 2015

Next week, Kaitlyn has a new suitor, as Nick Viall from Andi Dorfman‘s season shows up to win her heart.
The Bachelorette airs Mondays on ABC.
