Kyle Richards has reportedly put her foot down when it comes to her troubled sister, Kim Richards.
Throughout the last several months, Kim has been struggling with her addiction to alcohol. According to the reality star, her troubles came back to haunt her earlier this year after a few years of sobriety, and led to her arrest on April 16 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. During an appearance on Dr. Phil at the end of April, Kyle Richards’ sister admitted to relapsing months prior, and also revealed she’d used pot and prescription pills. Then, on the night of her arrest, she claimed, she drank Vodka at her daughter’s house and proceeded to drive to the Beverly Hills Hotel’s Polo Lounge, where she enjoyed a few more cocktails before being cut off by the bartender.
Following her drunken arrest, and appearance on Dr. Phil , Kyle Richards’ sister checked into a sober living facility, where she stayed until the end of last month. At that time, Kim was expected to travel to Mexico for her daughter’s wedding, which she did, and return to the facility afterwards, which she failed to do.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kyle Richards’ sister was said to be missing for several days, before she finally surfaced in Los Angeles last week. As Radar Online proclaimed, however, Kim did not return to the facility upon her arrival to L.A. Instead, she reportedly refused to do so .
“Kim came back from Cabo last week but is refusing to go back to rehab. She suffered a huge relapse at the wedding, and was mixing booze and pills. However, Kim is refusing to go back to rehab.
Kim has been in contact with sister’s Kyle and Kathy, but both siblings are obviously very concerned about her. There is only so much the family can do for Kim, and refusing to get help is a big obstacle.”
Now, according to a TMZ report on June 2, Kyle Richards and her husband, Mauricio Umansky, have washed their hands of Kim after allegedly forcing her back into the country following a week-long alcohol binge. The report stated Kyle Richards and Umansky feel their constant support for Kim may actually have been a bad thing for her.
Kyle Richards was one of three Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars present at the NBC Upfront presentation, hinting she, along with Lisa Rinna and Lisa Vanderpump, would be a part of the upcoming sixth season.
