WWE Rumors: Brock Lesnar To Face Seth Rollins At WWE Battleground?

Brock Lesnar got indefinitely suspended from the WWE the night after WrestleMania 31. After losing his WWE championship to Seth Rollins, Lesnar became enraged and destroyed everything in the ring and even F5’d a defenseless man. That prompted Stephanie McMahon to come to the ring and suspend Lesnar for his actions. Needless to say, the WWE Raw crowd gave Lesnar a huge ovation before departing.

Since then, Lesnar has enjoyed his time off and is gearing up for another WWE run. In an earlier report by the Inquisitr, Brock Lesnar’s WWE return date was revealed for June 22. It’s an episode of WWE Raw near the end of the month, which is only a few weeks before WWE Battleground.

Most WWE fans would read this and think that Lesnar is returning at WWE Battleground, the pay-per-view before SummerSlam. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter and THE SpOtLight, Brock Lesnar is rumored to have a big match at WWE Battleground.

?#?WWE? originally planned on having Lesnar return to face Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Title at SummerSlam, however now that match is rumored to take place at the Battleground event in July.”

Everyone will want to see Brock Lesnar in the WWE once again. Paul Heyman will accompany the former WWE champion, who is the most-over managed in the WWE. There are a few ways the WWE can go about Lesnar’s return. He can feud against Seth Rollins, which is the obvious choice right now. Rollins stole the WWE title from Lesnar at WrestleMania 31.

After tonight’s Elimination Chamber special, it’s clear that the WWE wants to put Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins at Money in the Bank for the WWE championship. Since Ambrose isn’t in the Money in the Bank ladder match, a new favorite will have to emerge.

WWE fans won’t want to hear that Roman Reigns will presumably be the favorite to win the briefcase at Money in the Bank. That way, if the WWE wants to have Seth Rollins drop the WWE title by SummerSlam, Reigns can cash in his briefcase on Lesnar or Rollins.

It won’t really matter because the trio will eventually come to another triple threat match for the WWE title at a future pay-per-view. Survivor Series is an option, or even Hell in a Cell would provide a great opportunity for a great match with a gimmick. Brock Lesnar is returning as the ultimate babyface against the Authority. WWE is continuing its great programming and it’s not going to stop.
