Rugby Union fans can watch live online as Gloucester hosts French side Bordeaux-Begles in the final match of the season — an all-important playoff to decide which team snags the final berth in next season’s European Rugby Champions Cup. But because of a rock concert at Gloucester’s regular home ground, Kingsholm Stadium, the match will be played at Sixways Stadium in Worcester, England.

While Bordeaux-Begles reached the playoff for a Champions Cup berth by finishing seventh in the French Top 14 rugby league, Gloucester was forced to survive a playoff semifinal after winning this season’s Challenge Cup — Europe’s second-tier rugby tournament.
In fact, Gloucester has won all 10 of its European matches in the 2014-2015 season, though the Cherry and Whites managed only nine wins against 12 losses and a draw in the Aviva Premiership for a ninth-place finish out of the 12 teams in the league.
Nonetheless, Gloucester squeaked past Irish side Connacht, 40-32, in extra time last weekend to now place themselves one win away from a much-coveted spot in Europe’s elite, top-flight rugby competition, the Champions Cup.
Jonny May, who scored the match-winning try against Connacht, said that Gloucester is ready for the challenge they’ll face against the French side at Sixways.
“I played against Bordeaux a couple of seasons ago and we managed to win those games. They’re a big old team and it is going to be a fast, tough, physical game,” Mays said.
“Hopefully if we go out there with the same energy and intent as we did against Connacht, and match it with some top end skill, we can better the performance against Connacht,” he added.
