Are Wedding Bells Ringing For Taylor Swift And Calvin Harris?
Taylor Swift had the “best day ever” shopping for wedding dresses with one of her BFFs. Does that mean wedding bells are ringing for Taylor Swift and her new boyfriend Calvin Harris?
Swift, 25, went shopping for wedding dresses on Wednesday afternoon. No, it’s not what you think. Swift and Harris have only been dating for a few months. It would be strange for the couple to rush down the aisle. Swift was just fulfilling her maid of honor duties by bringing childhood best friend Britany Maack to Reem Acra’s New York City showroom, as previously reported via J-14 magazine.
Taylor explained the wedding dress shopping ordeal in detail to People’s StyleWatch magazine. Obviously, being a maid of honor is a huge deal to the pop singer. It may even be a bigger deal than being the world’s biggest pop star! Taylor knew that she wanted to treat her BFF to something special in one of the biggest moments of her life.
“I’ve never been a maid of honor before. This is my first time, and it’s really, really important to me because this is my best friend, who I’ve known since I was born. And she’s marrying someone I’ve known since I was 4.
“Reem does the most amazing bridal designs, and Britany and I were looking through Vogue, and she pointed to this one gown, and I was like, ‘I wonder if we could go to the showroom…’ And sure enough, it was the best day ever. It was so amazing.”
Taylor Swift and BFF even teased her fans on Instagram. Maack shared a photo of her and Swift at the showroom with the following caption, “Dressing up, but this time not playing. #weddingdress #nailedit @taylorswift @reem_acra.”
Swift had a busy day. She also attended the Keds #1989Style event. The “Bad Blood” singer partnered with the brand to create a line of sneakers inspired by her 1989 world tour. Swift attended the event in New York City on Wednesday.
The country-turned-pop singer wore a white Rachel Zoe romper with a pair of navy blue canvas sneakers. Her sneakers feature the New York City skyline. The Keds event was held less than 24 hours after Taylor’s romantic dinner date with Calvin Harris. The couple ate Soho’s Italian eatery L’asso. Taylor and Calvin shared a pizza as they enjoyed some handholding and private conversation.
Fans are still wondering if Swift and Harris are getting serious. The couple has been spotted together several times since going public with their relationship in March. According to the new issue of OK! Magazine, Swift has asked Harris to move into her Los Angeles apartment.
“Taylor has asked Calvin to move in with her in LA, and he’s accepted. Calvin has already moved a bunch of his stuff into Taylor’s place. (She knows) they are into this for the long-term.
They adore everything about each other including their friends and family. It’s early days still, but these two are crazy in love and ready to dive straight in. He’s as smitten as she is, so their attitude is like, ‘Why wait?’ “
It’s been rumored that Harris is currently staying at Swift’s New York City apartment, so it only makes sense for him to move into her Los Angeles pad as well. Swift and Harris may not be walking down the aisle for a while, but it seems like things are still getting serious for the couple.
