C-Section Horror: New Mom Traumatized By What She Found Coming Out Of Her Incision

Undergoing a C-Section (or Cesarean birth), especially when unplanned, is one of the worst experiences a woman can go through.

Imagine you are British woman Sam Bell, and you’ve gone through all of that only to have your body start undergoing horror movie-level trauma days after the birth.

Bell gave birth to daughter Chloe via C-Section and left St. Hellier’s hospital three days later. A couple of days afterward, the midwife came to her home and removed her bead stitch, reports Metro

When Sam stood up later, she felt her pants “sticking to” her stomach.

In comments to the Daily Mail, Sam expounds on what happened next.

“I just felt this twinge. It almost felt like my trousers were stuck to my stomach, so I pulled them open.”

As she did so, Bell saw her wound open “and my bowel and intestines just fell out.”

From there, the mom had to call an ambulance and spend the next 40 minutes holding in her insides with the growing fear that “more would fall out.”

“It was quite tough because I was crying but trying not to cry because I didn’t know how much else could come out of me. I just didn’t know what to do,” she said.

Once the ambulance arrived, she was taken back to the hospital for 20 staples and a four-day stay.

Sam’s scar is on full view at the Daily Mail website, which you can look at by clicking this link.

Since the Inquisitr last reported on this story, the St. Hellier representatives have issued a statement.

“We offer our full and sincerest apologies to Ms. Bell for what must have been a very distressing experience. Immediately following this incident, a full review and investigation was launched.”

The hospital’s goal, the spokesperson said, was to find out exactly what happened and take steps so that it never happens again. They also plan to share the results of their findings with Bell, who complained of “feeling dismissed” by hospital staff.

In the past, the Inquisitr has reported on strange Facebook groups that are into C-Section shaming under the guise that it’s not “really” giving birth.

Our thoughts are with Ms. Bell as she continues to recover.
