Johnny Depp Storms Off Set In Pursuit Of Wife Amber Heard

Recent reports made by Australian media have Johnny Depp fleeing the set of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales once again, this time in an earnest effort to save Depp’s marriage to Amber Heard. Speaking through his publicist, however, Mr. Depp assures the media that these reports are false.

Media reporters local to Australia’s Gold Coast area, where Johnny is currently filming the latest Pirates of the Caribbean installment, insist that Mr. Depp fled the set and returned to California, following rumors that his marriage to Ms. Heard is in jeopardy. The news that the relationship between Depp and Heard is strained is nothing new. Reports that the couple are not as close as they once had been created so much speculation that it has been said that Amber accompanied Johnny to Australia specifically to squash such gossip.

Ms. Heard recently returned to California, when the lives of their two Yorkshire pooches were under threat due to immigration laws. Having been flown in on Depp’s private jet, the dogs, Pistol and Boo, had not been declared to the customs office in Australia. An issue was raised when a groomer posted pictures of the dogs online, bringing them to the attention of Australian Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce. Mr. Joyce threatened to euthanize the pets, unless Depp and Heard removed the dogs from Australia immediately.

Johnny and Amber reportedly spent $320,000 (£161,594) in fines to keep Australian authorities from confiscating Pistol and Boo, until the pets could be returned home. Additionally, Johnny spent another $400,000 commissioning a corporate jet to send Amber and the two dogs home.

As far as Johnny Depp storming off the set of Pirates of the Caribbean, Mr. Depp’s representative, Michael Singer, assures the public that this is completely untrue, though he did say that Depp planned to return to the United States for daughter Lily-Rose’s 16th birthday.

“I can’t go into detail on our filming schedules or the movements of individuals but I can tell you that nothing in that report has any relation to reality. Mr. Depp has been filming on schedule. It’s business as usual with all participants working.”

The reports of the incident with the dogs have taken heat off of the Depp-Heard marriage rumors here in the United States and allegations that Ms. Heard was cheating on Johnny with iO Tillet Wright were dismissed when Ms. Wright herself stepped forward. Ms. Wright has made public statements saying that she is a friend to both Amber Heard and Johnny Depp and that was as far as her relationship with either of them has gone.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is scheduled for a July 2017 release.
