George Clooney Prank Might Be Big Enough To Send Him To Jail
George Clooney is a prankster. That’s the third thing most people say about the star. (Clooney is also ranked as charming and handsome, of course.) Last year, George pranked Matt Damon in a big and wicked way at the Golden Globes, but this year, Clooney’s got something even bigger planned.
That might be a tough order. Last year, it all started with George vowing revenge on Golden Globe hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler after they joked about George and his much younger wife, Amal Alamuddin. But he didn’t stop there. George dragged his The Monuments Men co-star, Matt Damon, in.

Matt is always the guy that pal Jimmy Kimmel makes pokes fun at on Kimmel’s show, so when Jimmy sent George Clooney fake stationery with Damon’s name on it, George just had to take it further. He sent off a note to the Golden Globe hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
“Y’know, the George joke was OK, but my daughters saw the joke you did about me and they laughed at me and I thought it was really mean and it really hurt me.”
But Amy and Tina are too smart for George Clooney. They wrote back to Matt Damon, and attached their letter of “apology” to an enormous fruit basket.
“Dear, Matt, if your note is part of some George Clooney prank, as I very strongly suspect it is, you A-list amateurs are gonna have to step it the f*** up. We are not some easily confused starlets you’re dealing with here. We are grown-a** professional comediennes. Please accept this fruit as a token of our sincerity. Best wishes, Elizabeth ‘Tina’ Fey and Amy ‘Boston’ Poehler.”
Oh, boy.
So, this year, George Clooney is going bigger. Much bigger.
It’s not going to be just Matt Damon. Not even just Matt, along with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. George told talk show buddy Jimmy that his newest prank is a big one, and there are famous people “right across this town” who don’t know they’ve been pranked by one of the best. The prank involved framed photos of something that Clooney did. George says it’s “heinous, it’s so horrible… It might be a federal offence, I might go to jail for it.”
Okay, that sounds big.

Clooney isn’t worried. He figures he’ll be fine because he has a good lawyer.
“But I have a wife, she’s a barrister, I’ll be fine!”
Good advance planning, George.

Of course, that’s kind of what set off Tina and Amy to begin with. George’s “lawyer wife” is an internationally respected human rights lawyer with a huge reputation (way bigger than Clooney’s prankster reputation), but George Clooney is the one who got the lifetime achievement award.
@darlinedesigns My fave joke was about Amal Clooney’s many accomplishments and George Clooney getting the lifetime achievement award. ?

Good luck with this one, George. Whatever the prank is, we’re all going to hope Amal can protect you.
