Kaitlyn Bristowe Has A Favorite Dinosaur So Clint Arlis Has An Edge On ‘The Bachelorette’

Kaitlyn Bristowe might have a thing for paleontologists. At least, the Bachelorette contestant — viewers will discover Tuesday night whether she or Britt Nilsson gets the honor of handing out roses — has a favorite dinosaur. On the premiere episode Monday night as Bristowe and Nilsson were awkwardly trying to schmooze with the men who would decide their Bachelorette fate, Bristowe got an unexpected gift. Clint Arlis gave her a picture of Chris Harrison riding a triceratops.

Arlis joked that he brought a picture of the one person he knew would be there on premiere night — Harrison — since he didn’t know which woman would be the Bachelorette. Kaitlyn was impressed by the artistry of the sketch, which Arlis had drawn himself. Kaitlyn noted her love of dinosaurs and Harrison on Twitter Monday night.

Harrison also chimed in to support Arlis’ clever gift.

Of all the silly stunts on the first part of the Bachelorette premiere, the dinosaur drawing seemed to go over better than the hot tub in a car (the “carpool”), and the dentist who drove up in a cupcake. E! called Clint Arlis’ drawing “incredible, awe-inspiring” and singled him out as a contestant who made a good impression.

Arlis apparently goes far this season, a sign that future Bachelor/Bachelorette contestants might want to exercise their artistic skills. Chris Harrison named Chris Arlis as one of his five Bachelorette contestants to watch in an interview with Yahoo TV.

“There’s a fine line between cocky and confident and Clint walks that line constantly. He could easily be mistaken for arrogant. He’s a big city architect, well educated, with movie star good looks and he knows it. He’s a charmer, but can turn some people off with his attitude. The best thing about him is that on night one he gave Kaitlyn a picture of me riding a triceratops. He’s a talented artist, but why he chose to draw that I have no idea. It was like something someone in prison might draw and send to you. You would be both flattered and frightened.”

That being said, a cupcake might work too. Harrison also named the dentist with the sweet-themed car, Chris Strandburg, as one to watch.

Part two of The Bachelorette premiere airs 8 p.m. Tuesday night, when the results of the men’s vote will be revealed.
