Did Jennifer Lopez diss Mariah Carey?
— Entertainment Weekly (@EW) May 18, 2015
According to TMZ, cameras caught Lopez on her cell phone during Carey’s performance at Sunday night’s Billboard Music Awards. The Boy Next Door actress was clearly looking down at her phone, not paying much attention (if any at all) to “Infinity.”
“Even as Taylor Swiftand the rest of the audience burst into applause for Mimi… J.Lo chatted up Casper Smartfrom their front row seats. Jennifer’s no fool though — when the house lights went up at the end of Mimi’s act, then and only then did she give her a hand.”
If Jennifer Lopez did diss Mariah, it is likely it wasn’t intentional, right? There isn’t (or wasn’t) a serious rivalry between Mariah and JLo that the public is aware of, so this may have just been coincidental. Perhaps JLo had to check an email or post a selfie at that exact moment that the cameras were on her… however, sitting in the front row, she should have known that she’d be on camera a lot.

After the show, JLo posted a collage of photos on her Twitter page… needless to say Mimi wasn’t in any of the shots.
According to Hollywood Life, Lopez and Carey have never actually met. Last summer, JLo sat down for a chat with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live when she was asked about Mariah. She definitely denied any kind of feud and said that while she has heard rumors, she’d be open to meeting Carey… and being friends with her!
“I know from back in the day, I’ve read things that she’s said about me that were not the greatest, but we have never met. I would love to meet her and I would love to be friends with her.”
The Jennifer Lopez diss of Mariah Carey has gone viral on the internet this week. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Lopez’s choice of outfit at the BMAs also went viral. Showing off some major underboob, JLo has been making headlines because of her “reverse cleavage-baring” Charbel Zoe dress. She looked absolutely stunning on the red carpet, showing off her incredible figure.
