Kim Kardashian Breaks Down: Reality Star Gets Emotional When Talking About Kris Jenner’s Reaction To Bruce Jenner Announcement

Kim Kardashian broke down while talking about her mom’s reaction to Bruce Jenner’s transition, adding drama to a two-hour special that deals with the family’s big change

Last month, Bruce opened up about his big life change, telling Diane Sawyer, “I am a woman.” The announcement has brought out many emotions, largely supportive for Bruce and his family. Now America gets to see a bit of what the family has been going through behind the scenes in a special titled Keeping Up with the Kardashians: About Bruce.

But despite the widespread acceptance of his decision, Bruce Jenner and family are still dealing with some heavy emotions. Kim’s feelings were on display in a preview for the new special. In the clip she was seen breaking down when talking about how mom Kris Jenner has been dealing with all of it.

“We should really appreciate all the things that she does for us because she does a lot,” Kim told sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner while fighting back tears.

Kim Kardashian is not the only one whose emotions have shown through. In his coming out interview, Bruce Jenner told Diane Sawyer that his decision to go public with his life plans was difficult and wrought with emotion.

“Diane, Let’s do it. It’s going to be tough. I’ve been thinking about this day forever and what I should do with my life. How do I tell my story? How do I tell people what I’ve been through, and that day is today. I need the tissues — it’s gonna be kinda tough but today’s the day.”

Bruce even seemed to admit that much of Keeping Up With The Kardashians was less than reality, saying that made it all the harder to keep his big secret.

“The entire run, I kept thinking to myself, ‘Oh my God, this whole thing, the one real, true story in the family was the one I was hiding and nobody knew about it.’ The one thing that could make a difference in people’s lives was right here in my soul and I could not tell that story.”

Viewers who tune into the television special will see more than just Kim Kardashian breaking down. Producer Ryan Seacrest said the special will be “extremely emotional and very, very raw,” and viewers will watch as Bruce Jenner “talks to his family about everything.” The special airs Sunday at 9 p.m. on E!
