Zach Levi Plans For A Music Switch

Chuck Actor Zach Levi is no stranger to showing the world that he can sing. After all, the song that he and Mandy Moore sang together for Tangled was nominated for a 2011 Academy Award.

Now that Chuck has officially ended, and his pilot pick up for Fox is temporarily up in the air, Levi says that he’s not completely ruling out a music career, or at least a little bit more of the dabbling he’s been doing in the last year or two.

Zach Levi told E! at the Alzheimer’s Association’s A Night at Sardi’s event that he’s not ruling out recording an album either. However, it seems as though the actor wants to merge his two loves, television and music, if given the opportunity to do so.

“I do want to utilize singing more in my career,” said Levi. “I’ve had a lot of fans on Twitter and whatnot say, ‘Go and do Glee. Go and do Smash. ”

Zach isn’t without connections either. “I do have friends on both shows,” he continued to tell E! “If they were to come to me and say, ‘Hey, this is a great role for you. We’d love for you to do it,’ I’d have a hard time saying no.”

However, Zach isn’t green to the double standard Hollywood has for actor’s who can sing. He appeared to be hesitant about doing more than the public can chew, stating, “Singers are embraced in Hollywood to be actors, but if you’re an actor and you want to go do an album, everyone in the music industry is like, ‘I don’t buy it.'”

Do you think Zach Levi should just stick to his day job, or are you looking forward to his next endeavor in music? Weigh in here!
