‘Arrow’ Season 4 Spoilers: Oliver And Felicity’s Relationship And ‘Something’ To Conceal Diggle’s Identity

Arrow Season 3 has ended, and it ended on a happy note. In fact, that word – happy – was key for the end of the season for Oliver, though he wasn’t able to fix every relationship upon returning to Starling City after some of the things he was forced to do in order to make Ra’s al Ghul believe he was loyal to him.

After the team was able to find a way to stop Ra’s al Ghul’s attempt to wipe out Starling City with the Alpha Omega bioweapon and Oliver was able to kill Ra’s, he announced that since there are more than enough heroes to protect the city, he no longer had to be one. Instead, he told Felicity he wants to be with her, and they left Starling City behind so he could go find out more about the person he has become.

“I’m happy,” Oliver told Felicity as they drove off together to end the season.

You can rewatch that last scene from the Arrow Season 3 finale below.

But can they really just drive off into the sunset and leave behind what they used to do in Starling City? Based on what Emily Bett Rickards has told TV Guide, that may not be so easy for them.

“What I think is so interesting is that once you help people and have served justice for so long, is that it might become an addiction to a certain extent. It’s one thing to go and be happy and sit on an island, but you want to still be doing important work. So I don’t know what that’s going to be for them. They’re going to have a balance of that and hopefully in their relationship as well.”

It’s impossible to imagine the series keeping Oliver away for very long, and Stephen Amell has said that he thinks that Oliver’s return could come “at least 20 or 30 minutes into the premiere” of Arrow Season 4.

In fact, Amell thinks that it could be something regarding Diggle and H.I.V.E. that brings about the return, and considering how Damien Darhk and H.I.V.E. were mentioned in the final episodes of Season 3, that could be a safe guess.

Speaking of Diggle, his and Oliver’s friendship was still fractured at the end of the Arrow Season 3 finale, which is understandable since Oliver did kidnap his wife and leave their baby alone in his attempt to fool Ra’s into thinking he really was Al Sah-Him. But as Oliver left the city in the hands of the other heroes – Laurel, Ray (before that explosion), Thea, and Diggle – he joined the list of those advising Diggle that he should think about getting something to conceal his identity. In fact, David Ramsey promised ComicBook.com that something is coming regarding just that in Arrow Season 4.

“I do think you need some kind of concealment. I agree with that. And to that end, they are working on something. You will see something for Diggle next year, season 4. You will.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Arrow Season 4 will air in the show’s usual 8 p.m. time slot on Wednesdays.
