Cissy Houston Losing Hope For Granddaughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, Says There’s No Progress

After fighting a hard battle for Bobbi Kristina Brown’s recovery, grandmother Cissy Houston is losing hope as her granddaughter shows no signs of improvement.

Last Saturday, Cissy spoke to Entertainment Tonight revealing the current state of the 22-year-old. She said, “She’s the same, she’s not progressing at all. She’s not gone yet, but you know, whatever the Lord decides, I’m ready for her… I have nothing to do with that. That’s His job. It’s His territory, you know? And I understand it.”

Cissy added, “We go to the hospital every day and pray. And you know, I talk to [Bobbi Kristina] because she can still hear, and I rub her hand and whatnot.”

Last month, a controversial video of Bobby Brown circulated the media as he revealed to a crowd at one of his concerts that his daughter was already awake. The news elicited excitement from anxious fans on social media but his wife, Alicia Etheredge-Brown later debunked his statement saying that her husband was just an “in an emotional” state when he made those remarks about his daughter.

At that time, Cissy also put out a statement revealing Bobbi Kristina’s condition. Last month, Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s only daughter indeed was no longer in a coma but sustained a “global and irreversible brain damage” which caused her to remain unresponsive to any medical treatment. Additionally, last Friday, Bobby and Whitney’s sister-in-law Pat Houston made an announcement that they were legally appointed as Bobbi’s co-guardians.

A joint statement from their lawyers read, “Mr. Brown and Ms. Houston are jointly responsible for decisions related to Krissi’s [Bobbi’s] care and medical needs.”

This spells bad news for Bobby because for the initial part of his daughter’s treatment, he was making all the calls by himself. With Aunt Pat as co-guardian, he can no longer make any decision without her approval.

Despite rumors of contention between Bobbi’s father and the Houston family, Pat seemed agreeable to their co-guardianship. She said, “It came alright, it was fine. We’re a family… that works together for the best. You want the best for whomever or everybody we can… We can be on the other side too if you make us be but we are not going to do that. There’s no reason for that.”

According to reports, Cissy also supports the said legal decision.
