Bobby Brown And Pat Houston Granted Co-Guardianship Of Bobbi Kristina’s Estate, Is Whitney Houston’s Fortune In Jeopardy?

An Atlanta judge has ruled that both Bobby Brown and Pat Houston will hold guardianship in the case of Bobbi Kristina Brown. As recently reported by the Inquisitr, Bobbi Kristina remains unresponsive in Atlanta’s Dekalb Medical Hospital following her accident a few months ago. Recently, many arguments have arisen among family members, regarding who would be in charge of Bobbi’s estate and whether or not they would keep her on life support.

Many of the concerns with Bobbi Kristina’s father Bobby Brown being granted guardianship of her estate was that he would somehow have access to Whitney Houston’s fortune if Bobbi dies. However, recent information given by Bobbi’s estate planning attorney has proven that no one could inherit Whitney fortune except her daughter.

“It would be appropriate for him to apply for guardianship, conservatorship or both. Once (Brown) is appointed as guardian he would have the authority to handle her person. A conservator would have the authority to make financial decisions. Certainly somebody needs to handle her financial affairs.”

With that knowledge, the judge at Dekalb County Courthouse saw fit to add Bobby Brown to the guardianship list, which formally only included Bobbi Kristina’s aunt, Pat Houston, as executor of her will. Recently, the family gave an official statement to People magazine, regarding the details of the judge’s guardianship decision.

“We are delighted to inform the public that the court has appointed Bobby Brown and Pat Houston as co-guardians of Bobbi Kristina Brown. Both Mr. Brown and Ms. Houston are jointly responsible for decisions related to Krissi’s care and medical needs.”

Though the Browns and Houstons have seem to come together in Bobbi Kristina’s best interest, her former boyfriend, whom she often referred to as “husband,” remains alienated from the family. Nick Gordon was adopted by Whitney Houston at the age of 12 when he was abandoned by his mother. Raised alongside Bobbi Kristina as his brother, the two began dating after her death. Now that Bobbi Kristina is unconscious and her family and investigators assume foul play, Nick Gordon appears to be the number one suspect. Later, news came out that Bobbi Kristina may have been using drugs again, which was unconfirmed. However, Nick Gordon was reportedly using drugs. Boby Brown refuses to allow Nick Gordon in to see Bobbi because of his failure to comply with Brown’s request, as was expressed by a member of Bobby Brown’s camp.

“To address the continued and never ending media requests for comment about Mr. Gordon’s requests to visit Bobbi Kristina, let me be very clear, Mr. Gordon was offered an opportunity to potentially visit Bobbi Kristina and he declined to meet the terms of any possible visit.”

So far, Nick Gordon has given an official statement to police on his knowledge of what occurred the night of January 31, when Bobbi Kristina was found in her bathtub. Nick Gordon is still being investigated for the Bobbi Kristina incident.
