‘Marvel Heroes’ Action-RPG Updated With Quicksilver Team-Up, BOGO Sale, Omega Event

Marvel Heroes players weren’t betting on seeing Quicksilver today, but the game’s developer sent him to the live server this morning. The new team-up character is now available for players to purchase from the in-game store or pick up for free with eternity splinters. Quicksilver’s arrival is just one of many happenings in the massively multiplayer action-RPG, though. Another BOGO (buy one, get one) sale is currently running in addition to the return of Operation Omega.

Quicksilver, the twin brother to Scarlet Witch, is now available as a team-up within Marvel Heroes. The game’s developer notified players via Marvel Heroesofficial Twitter account today. Currently, team-ups can assist the player as infinite summon aids, burst assistance characters called out sporadically, or assist players without being present by providing powerful passive buffs. Scarlet Witch, on the other hand, is a fully playable hero that recently received her 52 review. Although Quicksilver is a team-up, that does not mean he will not become a playable, controllable character according to the developer.

Quicksilver can be recruited through the in-game store for 750 Gs, Marvel Heroes‘ purchasable currency. Players can also obtain him with 400 eternity splinters, currency that drops throughout the game at semi-regular intervals. Although there were a few issues at the time of launch, Advance Pack 2 owners should now also be able to access Quicksilver.

Players can also recruit Agent Coulson to their cause with the return of the Operation Omega event. Finish daily quests to earn omega files that can used to purchase Agent Coulson as a team-up. Additionally, there is also a BOGO sale going on within the in-game store right now. Chase and Halloween costumes, costumes that are only available for a limited time, are also in the store right now. Buying these will qualify the player for another random costume due to the BOGO sale.

Events and updates are very common and regular for Marvel Heroes. In fact Marvel Heroes players just received a free Iron Man costume for logging in to the game during Free Comic Book Day. As the Inquisitr reported, several updates are rolling out for the game to coincide with Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. A new Age of Ultron game mode is out now, new costumes based on those found in the movie are available, and much more. The new Age of Ultron-inspired costumes do not qualify for the BOGO sale.

Have you tried out Marvel Heroes yet?
