Chris Soules Breakup: Rumors Of ‘Bachelor’ Split With Whitney Bischoff Swirl, Friends Say ABC Is To Blame
Chris Soules was just eliminated from Dancing With The Stars, and now rumors are flying that the Bachelor has more bad news with a break-up with Whitney Bischoff looming on the horizon.
Just a few months after the couple got engaged on the season finale of The Bachelor, sources indicate that they are headed for a split and friends close to them say ABC is to blame. Insiders said Soules felt forced into competing on Dancing With The Stars at a time when his new relationship needed much attention.
Now, with the pair apart for several weeks while Chris competed on the show, the relationship has reportedly fallen apart.
“Chris and Whitney were very much in love with each other when the show ended. He just wanted to go back to Iowa, and spend time with her. They had only been able to see each other a few times since The Bachelor filmed,” a source told Radar Online. “But there was a lot of pressure for Chris to compete on Dancing With The Stars,” the source said. “He really had to be talked into it.”
The source added that Chris Soules wasn’t ready for the commitment involved with Dancing With The Stars, which kept him away from Whitney for a long time. She ultimately decided to leave and return home to Chicago, going back to her old job at a fertility clinic.
“This is supposed the happiest time for a newly engaged couple, but they aren’t able to spend any time together,” the source said. “They are headed for a break-up and ABC is to blame for pressuring Chris to do Dancing With The Stars!”
There have already been signs of a breakup for Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff. This weekend she appeared alone at the Kentucky Derby, and wasn’t seen on Monday when Chris was eliminated from Dancing With The Stars.
That led to speculation that the Bachelor couple had already split, but were pretending to continue the relationship at the urging of the show’s producers.

“Why would Whitney Bischoff pretend that she and Chris Soules are still together and say that she misses him on Instagram? Well, the Bachelor producers are basically bullying her in to doing so. The turnover rate for Bachelor and Bachelorette couples is bleak – aside from Catherine and Sean’s wedding, none of the recent winners seem to stay together or get married.
The bottom line is, Bachelor fans are losing faith in ‘the process,’ and the producers will do whatever they can to keep Whitney and Chris’s showmance alive until the season premiere of The Bachelorette this month.”
If Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff have broken up, they are doing a good job covering it up. On Wednesday she posted a message saying she was “bummed” that she missed the Dancing With The Stars elimination, noting that she was actually with family on the anniversary of her mother’s death.
