Paul Walker’s Brother Cody Walker Talks ‘Fast And Furious’ Legacy

Paul Walker’s brother Cody Walker recently opened up about his brother and the Fast and Furious legacy.

In an interview with E! News, Cody said that his brother would have been happy with his final film, Furious 7. The film was still in production when Paul was killed in a fatal car crash on November 30, 2013. To finish the film, Cody and Paul’s older brother Caleb worked as stand-ins and body doubles.

“Of course [he’d be proud]. It’s the best one yet, there’s no doubt,” Cody told Ali Fedotowsky. “It was a bit of a rollercoaster being part of that, but I got to do it with Caleb…that made it an easier process.”

“It wasn’t just any film that Paul had been working on,” Cody said, regarding the friends Paul had made over the years, including his “brother” Vin Diesel that even named his daughter Paulina to honor the fallen star. “This was a Fast & Furious movie. Everyone that was involved had been involved for years.”

Cody admitted that he was nervous about watching Furious 7 and was worried that it wouldn’t live up to the expectations.

“A lot of people are going to remember Paul by this movie, and I want it to be worthy.” he had said.

Cody, a paramedic from Oregon, has also been working with the organization that Paul founded called Reach Out WorldWide or ROWW, according to ABC 7. His latest mission will be heading to Nepal to help with the cleanup from the massive earthquake that struck last week.

“It’s bittersweet. I am very happy for what he did leave behind for us to continue. These are all people that really cared about Paul too, it’s not just me,” Cody Walker said.

The mobile disaster medical team will consist of nine members: one doctor and several local firefighter-paramedics. They are currently planning on spending at least a week in Nepal.

“This is exactly what he’d be doing right now. ROWW would be doing this exact same thing. The only difference is that I’m here and he’s not, and I know he’s looking over us and he’s there, he’ll be there with us,” Cody said.
