Jennifer Lawrence Snubs A Royal Invite, Prefers Chris Martin
Jennifer Lawrence reportedly got more than she bargained for, when she traveled to London to promote the release of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1. It seems Prince Harry is as taken with Ms. Lawrence as the rest of her fans, because he used his clout to make advances toward Jennifer, but Ms. Lawrence was not at all tempted by his royal title.
“[Harry] made his aide invite her out to dinner and coupled it with an invite for her to see Kensington Palace,” reported an insider close to the situation.
Although a date with royalty and an opportunity to see the inner sanctums of Kensington Palace might have seemed like a tremendous opportunity to some, Jennifer was reportedly preoccupied with thoughts of Chris Martin.
The Coldplay singer clearly holds a special place in Ms. Lawrence’s heart, as their on-again off-again romance can attest. Although some claim that Kate Hudson has been catching Martin’s eye and that the feeling is mutual, sources close to Jennifer Lawrence report that Ms. Lawrence has not given up her hold on Chris. In fact, it wasn’t long ago that Lawrence and Chris were seen leaving a restaurant hand in hand.
“Jennifer arrived first and waited in her car for a bit, then went to the table and sat with her bodyguard until Chris arrived. They had a quick lunch: She ate a roast beef sandwich, and he had eggs Benedict.”
The same source reported that the evening lasted long beyond dinner with Jennifer and Martin taking a romantic walk together.
“They were talking softly to each other throughout the meal. As they left, she changed shoes and her sweater, and she was overheard telling him she wanted to take a walk through Strawberry Fields, and they left holding hands.”
The date happened in NYC where Jennifer has been staying in anticipation of her hosting duties of the 2015 Met Gala. Ms. Lawrence was seen arriving at the airport for her trip across country in a fashionable see-through top, obviously keeping cool and stylish, as she took the trip alone. Adding to the comfortable look, Jennifer also wore her hair in a ponytail and protected her eyes with a pair of aviator sunglasses.
Jennifer is currently working on X-Men: Apocalypse, which will be the last time she will play Mystique in the franchise. Prior to beginning work on the X-Men film, Ms. Lawrence had just completed filming on Joy, a drama that teamed her with director David O. Russell and reunited her with co-star Bradley Cooper.
