Brody Jenner, Kim Kardashian Join Forces In Support Of Bruce Jenner’s Gender Transition?
It seems Brody Jenner, son of Keeping Up with the Kardashians reality star and Olympian Bruce Jenner, has been going through his own issues lately. Though it must be hard for Brody Jenner to live in the shadow of his father’s very public gender transition, he nevertheless supports Bruce Jenner’s decision to become the woman he has always felt he was within his soul.
In the popular recent interview with Diane Sawyer, Bruce Jenner spoke of his four eldest children, born during the two marriages prior to his relationship with ex-wife Kris Jenner. Bruce admits that he was not around as much as he should have been for Brody and his siblings, Casey, Brandon, and Burt. During the time when they were young, Bruce was struggling with his gender identity, which caused depression, and as a result, he missed a large part of their lives.
“The big, formative years for them, I was really struggling with these issues. I talked to all the boys about this after the fact, that, yeah, I didn’t do a good job. And I apologized to my kids for that.”
According to ABC News, Brody Jenner, the youngest of the four, had a difficult time understanding when he was a child why his dad was no longer around as he had been. When Bruce explained what he was going through, then and now, Brody says he was able to better understand his father. More than likely, the candor with which Jenner spoke to Brody also helped to garner forgiveness.
“The first thing I thought was just like, ‘It finally makes sense.'”

Rumors are circulating that Brody has become so defensive of Bruce Jenner that he feels the need to protect him. One could certainly understand the desire to shield a loved one from the criticism of the world, but the rumors are specific in that Brody is trying to protect Jenner from Kim Kardashian, the Olympian’s stepdaughter.
An anonymous inside source, quoted by Radar Online, claims that Brody doesn’t want Kim Kardashian anywhere near Bruce Jenner.
“Brody doesn’t want Kim to be around at all because all she does is just report everything back to Kris [Jenner]. With Kim, nothing feels sincere, or real. Bruce needs love and support and Kim just doesn’t offer that in Brody’s opinion. Brody thinks she is nothing but evil, and he isn’t afraid to confront her.”
However, ABC News further reports that Kim is highly supportive of Bruce’s gender transition. Bruce Jenner talks about how her husband, Kanye West, explained it to Kim in a way that helped her to understand.
“[Kim and Kanye] were talking about it and he says to Kim, ‘Look, I can be married to the most beautiful woman in the world, and I am. I can have the most beautiful little daughter in the world. I have that. But I’m nothing if I can’t be me… if I can’t be true to myself they don’t mean anything,’ … and since then, Kimberly has been by far the most accepting, and the easiest to talk to.
“[She said], ‘Girl, you gotta rock it baby. You gotta look good! If you’re doing this thing, I’m helping you. You’re representing the family. You gotta look really good.'”
While Brody Jenner may not be Kim K’s biggest fan, it doesn’t seem as though he has any reason to believe she would not treat Bruce Jenner with the greatest respect. On this topic, at least, Kim Kardashian and Brody Jenner seem to be on the same page.
