WWE News: Big Samoa Joe To WWE NXT — Is He Still Debuting With WWE In June?

One of the greatest Indy wrestlers to this day, Samoa Joe, is linked to the WWE. When he stopped competing in Ring of Honor earlier this month, it was said that he was leaving the Indy scene and was on his way to the WWE. That is one place where the wrestling legend has never competed. Before it is too late, it can only be assumed that Joe wanted to wrestle for the best wrestling promotion in the world.

Certain steps have taken place that led to the latest news. First, Samoa Joe met with Triple H at the WWE NXT tapings last week. The speculation grew when Jim Ross, legendary WWE announcer, said he was going to see Samoa Joe at the tapings Ross was at.

As soon as Ross tweeted that out, the WWE Universe began to grow antsy and curious as to why Samoa Joe was at the WWE NXT tapings. It’s clear that he didn’t sign a WWE contract, or did he? In an earlier report by the Inquisitr, it was thought that Samoa Joe secretly signed a WWE contract at the WWE NXT tapings.

There is a chance that the report was true. The only other reason Joe would go to the WW NXT tapings is to get the feel of the joint before he signed. That’s normal for incoming WWE superstars, but perhaps Joe signed his contract already. In a new report, there’s a chance that Joe hasn’t signed yet, but it still is going to come.

According to Ringside News, Samoa Joe was at the WWE NXT tapings, but now the rumored June debut isn’t set in stone.

“Joe is still expected to start with NXT in June but it was described to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter as not confirmed for June just yet. This could be due to the various pre-signing tests talents have to go through.”

Samoa Joe will be in the WWE by the end of 2015, but should the WWE make it that late to debut him? That’s going to be left to the WWE creative team to decide. He’s a big enough star, quite like Finn Balor, Sami Zayn, and Kevin Owens, that he’ll get a huge pop for his debut. When he does debut, it should be a surprise. Hopefully, at the live special in late May, the WWE will debut Samoa Joe in WWE NXT.
