At WrestleMania, it wasn’t a WWE superstar who took part in one of the most exciting moments in WrestleMania history. It was comparable to Mr. T at WrestleMania 1 with Hulk Hogan. Ronda Rousey, current Women’s Bantamweight champion, got into the ring with the Rock to confront Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Rousey judo tossed HHH, and the WWE Universe went wild.
It’s obvious that the WWE fans want to see a singles match with McMahon, but will that necessarily happen? In an earlier report by the Inquisitr, Dana White, the UFC’s president, said Rousey’s WWE career was a “one-and-done” procedure. The WWE creative team was reportedly shocked to hear the news, as Rousey wants to wrestle one match in the WWE.
If Rousey were to come to the WWE, the possibilities would be endless as to who would work a great match with the UFC champion. Charlotte is one example of someone who would work with Rousey from a pure athleticism standpoint. The WWE Universe would have no choice but to be elated.
Before today, there was no chance that Ronda Rousey would compete in the WWE because her boss said so. Apparently, it’s still very early to even tell that much. According to Daily Wrestling News, the WWE isn’t giving up on getting Ronda Rousey in a WWE ring by WrestleMania 32.
“WWE reportedly has already been working on videos that involved Rousey and Stephanie was going to talk about Rousey during her WWE Network podcast with Chris Jericho this Thursday night.
“The feeling within WWE is that Rousey wrestling is not a dead deal as they have plenty of time to figure something out. WWE did want to do a small angle with Rousey later this year, possibly at Hell In a Cell, but it remains to be seen if that will happen.”
Just like the report mentioned, Stephanie McMahon will be on the WWE Network to do a live podcast with Chris Jericho.
That will air immediately after WWE Smackdown. As for the questions Jericho will ask the WWE official, that remains to be seen. If it is anything like the podcasts with Vince McMahon, Triple H and John Cena, kayfabe will be broken and Stephanie McMahon will have to answer all the questions. One of them will be about Ronda Rousey, because the WWE Universe wants to know if they will wrestle at one point.
The amount of money the WWE and UFC would make could go off the charts. It won’t be Mayweather and Pacquiao money, but both companies would have the chance to gain huge exposure in other demographics. Set aside the WWE fans and consider the UFC fans that would watch Ronda Rousey. It’s all about the money.
