Kim Richards Needs Time To ‘Pull Back,’ Claims Lisa Vanderpump

Kim Richards may be in rehab, but she’s still on the mind of her co-stars. Most recently, Lisa Vanderpump, who has starred alongside Kim Richards on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, spoke out in support of the troubled reality star.

During an interview with Celebified on April 27, Vanderpump expressed her thoughts on Kim Richards’ recent relapse and arrest, and revealed that while she hasn’t spoken to Kim Richards directly, she’s excited to see that she’s in rehab and addressing her addiction issues.

“I think this is a time for [Kim Richards] to, kind of, pull back, and for us to kind of… I mean, very much this season I kept out of it. If you saw this season, even when there were confrontations going on, discussions, I said I didn’t want to get involved because I felt there were people closer to [Kim Richards] than I was. I didn’t feel it was my position.”

Kim Richards was arrested on April 16 in Los Angeles after drinking vodka at her daughter’s house, and then driving to the Beverly Hills Hotel. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kim Richards reportedly had several drinks at the hotel’s Polo Lounge before becoming a disturbance to guests. After being asked to leave the hotel and refusing, police were called and Kim Richards was taken into custody.

Shortly after Kim Richards’ arrest, E! News reported the reality star had been thrown behind bars in the wee hours of the morning on April 16, where she was charged with public intoxication, trespassing, resisting an officer, and battery on an officer for allegedly kicking a police officer while in custody.

“I wish her well. I really wish her well, and I hope that she makes the right choices and finds the happiness she deserves, and I think all the cast do.”

Also during her interview with Celebified, Vanderpump spoke of the fifth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which featured many cast members expressing their concerns about Kim Richards’ sobriety.

“I think they came from a genuine place of concern.”

On the show, Lisa Rinna, a close friend of Vanderpump, as well as Kim Richards’ sister, Kyle, spoke out many times throughout the season about her sobriety. At one point, Rinna asked Kim Richards if she had began drinking again. During another episode, Rinna questioned Kim Richards about her recovery plan. However, throughout the season, Richards insisted she did not need any help.
