‘Scandal’ Season 4 Spoilers: A New Gladiator And Mellie’s Campaign Teased

Scandal fans have dealt with one shock after another during Season 4. Shonda Rhimes may have pulled a fast one on Scandal fans when it looked like she killed Jake Ballard on a recent episode, but there are more shocks to come as the season continues.

TV Line shared one small teaser for the final two episodes of Scandal Season 4. Olivia will finally fill one of the spots left empty by Harrison’s death and Abby’s move to the White House. The spoiler teased that the new addition to Olivia Pope & Associates will be someone fans have already seen as a guest star on the series. It will not be a regular cast member filling another role for Olivia.

That leaves Jake Ballard out of contention. Who does that leave? In the mind of this writer, there are two possibilities.

Elizabeth North, who is played by Portia de Rossi, has become well versed in the lengths Olivia’s gladiators will go to, and she has done her own moves during Season 4. She could step up and take on a post in Olivia’s office once Mellie’s campaign is over.

However, there is more likely candidate. Marcus Walker, who is played by Cornelius Smith Jr., has appeared on two episodes this season, and his mayoral run is over, but he is a passionate man that is willing to go the extra mile when he feels the need. He could fill into Harrison’s shoes nicely. Fans will find out who Olivia will hire before the end of Season 4.

As for Mellie’s campaign, Entertainment Weekly shared a small spoiler fans of Scandal.

“As the First Lady’s Senate race heats up, her campaign will make her revisit Jerry’s death, and we’ll find out just how badly she wants to win.”

What will Mellie do to make sure she has that spot as Virginia senator locked up? She has shown how far she can go in the past, but this appears to go beyond her previous actions.

As for the series, fans will need to wait for the final two episodes. According to a previous Inquisitr report, Scandal will not air this Thursday night because Grey’s Anatomy is taking a two-hour block to deal with the Derek of Derek Shepherd. The final two episodes will now air on May 7 and May 14.
