Did Maci Bookout Quit ‘Teen Mom OG’ Because Of Farrah Abraham’s Unexpected Return? [Video]
Did Maci Bookout quit Teen Mom OG amid filming on the currently airing season? As the Inquisitr previously reported, the trailer for the series hinted at such, and now, fans are learning more details about the young mother’s possible exit from the show.
In February, People Magazine released a clip, which featured Maci Bookout being confronted with the idea of Farrah Abraham’s return. At the time, Bookout was seen telling the show’s creator, Morgan Freeman, that she was done with the show, but did she really quit the series?
On April 24, Starcasm revealed details of the new episode, which featured the moments leading up to, and after, Freeman’s big announcement.
“There have been some conversations going on that is kind of a big shift to the show. And we made the decision to bring Farrah back,” Freeman tells Maci Bookout in the new clip.
According to Freeman, he and the rest of the producers felt Abraham was a necessary aspect of the show in the eyes of viewers. Maci Bookout, however, didn’t agree. Right away, she let Freeman know she was unhappy, and said she didn’t want to participate in Teen Mom OG any longer.
“If this is true, I’m done. I’m not doing this any more… I’m not going to have my six-year-old son on a show with someone who did porn on TV.”
Maci Bookout’s boyfriend, Taylor McKinney, then weighed in on the issue, better explaining Bookout’s thoughts about Abraham’s return, revealing it concerned her because of the message she’s trying to portray. Maci Bookout agreed, telling Freeman she was really mad, and revealing her decision about whether or not to continue with the show had been made.
“I’m not doing it. You’re not going to talk me into it. There is no discussion. We don’t need a second to talk, we’re on the same page. This is it. I’m p!ssed off! I’m really, really mad. And then, as far as I’m concerned, you guys can leave now. This is over. I mean, I’m done.”
While Maci Bookout appeared set on leaving the show at the time, Starcasm reported that she likely didn’t do so. According to the site, the May 4 episode of Teen Mom OG, which was titled “First Time for Everything,” was described as follows, confirming Maci Bookout eventually gave in, and returned to the series.
“Maci agrees to return to the series, but has conditions regarding Bentley; Catelynn and Tyler struggle with parenthood; Farrah introduces her mother to Simon.”
