Beverly Hills Housewife Kim Richards’ Son Reveals Her Struggles With Pot & Prescription Pills [Report]

Beverly Hills reality star Kim Richards is reportedly addicted to more than just alcohol. After she reportedly stormed out of a recent interview with Dr. Phil, the Real Housewives star’s son, Chad, was allegedly overheard proclaiming his mother was also using pot and prescription pills.

On April 22, In Touch Weekly revealed new details regarding Richards’ alleged “meltdown” on the set of Dr. Phil’s talk show. The report claimed, via the Daily Mail, that Chad, along with two of Richards’ other children, Kimberly and Brooke, attended the interview in Beverly Hills with their mom, and after she stormed off, Chad shockingly revealed details about his mother’s issues with addiction.

“The children urged their mom to return to the interview, but she wouldn’t budge. Kim was furious. She had a complete meltdown.”

Chad’s reported comments about his mother’s marijuana and prescription pill use were allegedly made after she was confronted with the idea of going to a treatment center. As the report claimed, Richards, who has starred since Season 1 on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, reportedly turned down the opportunity to go to rehab, even though Dr. Phil offered to pay for the entirety of her stay. Since Richards’ daughter, Brooke, is getting married abroad in the upcoming weeks, Richards didn’t want to enter treatment and miss the event (which will be Brooke’s second wedding to husband Thayer).

As the Inquisitr previously reported, the Beverly Hills reality star has reportedly been given an ultimatum when it comes to her possible return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. On April 23, a source revealed the following to Radar Online.

“Her sobriety clause is going to include drug testing – both set and random. They are also demanding that she go to treatment, either in-patient or out-patient. But if she wants to remain on the show she will need to go and get some help.”

The source claimed Richards’ failure to take full responsibility for her relapse and arrest has producers of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills considering a possible firing. Because the Beverly Hills native continues to play the blame game, at least according to the report, Bravo execs have grown frustrated, and are now said to be unsure of whether or not they would like to continue with their professional relationship with Richards.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has yet to be officially renewed for a sixth season by Bravo.
