Homeless Man Offers Money Instead Of Asking For It, The Reactions Will Shock You [Video]

Footage of a “homeless man” offering people money has gone viral. However, his act of kindness isn’t exactly the reason why the video has caught the attention of so many viewers. Apparently, the noble act has been met with outrage. According to the Daily Mail, an overwhelming number of individuals were quite appalled by the man’s offer, but unfortunately, the video is just a prime example of why you should never judge a book by its cover.

Surprisingly, the “homeless man” in the video isn’t exactly homeless. He’s actually Yousef Saleh Erakat, an entertainer who disguised himself as a homeless person for experimental purposes. Since people are often rude to homeless people who ask for money and food, he decided to flip the script and see how people would react if he were the giver. Unfortunately, the reactions were no better than when a homeless person is judged for asking. Believe it or not, the reaction may have been worse with Erakat posing as a giver. Many people were offended by the unusual offer. However, there were some who were quite flattered that he would offer what appeared to be his last in order to help others.

“I don’t have any money man,” the guy said as Erakat attempted to get his attention.

“No I don’t need your money, I’m trying to give you money,’ Erakat explained.

“I don’t need your money,” the guy replied.

“I’m just trying to help out today, here you go.”

“Does it look like I need your money? F***k out of here,” the man said.

“I don’t need your f***ing money, you a******. I could f***ing buy you,” another guy said.

The compelling video has definitely captured the attention of a staggering number of viewers via social media. In just two days, the video has gone viral on YouTube with nearly three million views. Erakat offered a lengthy description with the video explaining why he chose to conduct the experiment.

“Going into this video, the end goal wasn’t quite sure. You can never be sure because you can never know how people will react. It’s a completely different video depending on if people react positively or negatively. This video wasn’t one of those, ‘oh let’s see if people offer us money.’ It was, ‘let’s see how people feel about themselves when someone who is classified as ‘lesser’ than them on societies class ladder offers them money.’ The results were not expected and not wanted. It doesn’t matter how much you have in life if what you have in life takes away from you being humble. At the end of the day, even the most poor man can be the most rich depending on how much love he has in his heart. feel free to share.”

Many viewers were quite shocked at the rude responses Erakat received. Due to the overwhelming response to the video, Erakat recently stated that he would soon be uploading the uncut version of his conversation with the rude guy who called him a “pr**k.” Viewers are definitely anticipating seeing the full video. But, of course, the video has received mixed responses because some viewers feel Erakat provoked some of the people he interacted with.

“It was weird to see how people reacted when the roles were reversed. I don’t know why they would react that way, but it was interesting to see. Aside of that, the uncut versions of videos are the best :)”

“I admit I would be confused as f**k if someone in those clothes tried to give me money in the street, but offended? Where the f**k do these people get off thinking that they are BETTER than someone who might just have had some really sh***y luck in their lives?”

“I’m not justifying the guy that called you a pr**k was an ok thing to do, but you did provoke his reaction by saying ‘How bout i help you out today, Looks like you need it.’ Saying, ‘looks like you need it,’ sounds like you’re calling him poor or something, i don’t know, i could understand how it could be interpreted as an insult and why the guy responded the way he did, that doesn’t justify him calling you a prick though, that’s uncalled for.”
