Charli XCX Wants To Build An Empire, Claims Being A ‘Bi**h’ Is Best

Pop starlet Charli XCX may just be breaking in the pop industry, but the 22-year-old has big plans for the future. Charli XCX doesn’t just want to have a successful career, she wants to change the world and build an empire. Charli XCX has collaborated with Iggy Azalea and supported the likes of Coldplay, but the “Boom Clap” singer believes that she has what it takes to make a real change in the world.

According to the Belfast Telegraph, Charli told Maxim in an interview that she has “a business mind, I have a real drive — I want to have an empire. I want to have more of a legacy, and I think just because I wear what I wear, and am a pop star, doesn’t mean I can’t have that.”

Charli XCX appears on the cover of this month’s Maxim in a shot that shows the singer upside down with her hair hanging loose. The shot of Charli can only be described as stunning, and Charli clearly agrees; she took to Twitter to share the shot with her 1.25 million followers.

In her interview in Maxim, Charli XCX says that she thinks her fans can relate to her because she is open and honest, something she believes will be an asset to her career in terms of her longevity.

Charli also admits that she is “not good at being a picture-perfect pop star, happy all the time. If I’m having a bad day, I can’t pretend.” Charli XCX says that she is extremely driven, she knows where she wants to be, and has a plan to get there. She refuses to let anyone tell her what to do.

Charli demonstrated her determination during a recent headline show at Manchester Academy, where a reporter for Louder Than War said that Charli put on a fantastic show despite being ill.

Charli XCX is determined to ensure that she establishes herself as a serious player in the music world. Charli told the Daily Telegraph that “being a bi**h is best. My whole Genre is bi**h-pop.” Charli is pleased that “people are talking about empowerment for women” but admits that “there’s still so much misogyny in the music industry because a lot of people in it are so old-school.”

That may well be the case but who would bet against Charli XCX being the next female pop star to rock the boat and send shockwaves through the industry.
