Bobbi Kristina Brown Update: Bobby Brown Rushes Back To Daughter

Bobby Brown made his first singing appearance this weekend after staying by the bedside of daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown for 10 weeks. Yet, after his performance on Saturday at the Soul Food Festival in Los Angeles, the singer made his way back to Atlanta immediately.

People reports that the 46-year-old R&B crooner belted out some of his most famous tunes, such as “Roni” and “Don’t Be Cruel,” at the Soul Food Festival. He also took the time to thank the crowd for their support and acknowledged the current situation with Bobbi Kristina. Shortly after the performance, however, he was on a flight back to Atlanta.

Bobby Brown also stopped at a karaoke bar, Paoli’s Pizzeria and Piano Bar in Woodland Hills, California, prior to his festival performance. Yet it was all business as he stepped up to the microphone only to introduce a duo set to perform. When asked about Bobbi Kristina’s condition, Bobby Brown politely declined to answer. It was the singer’s first night away from his daughter, who was found comatose in a bathtub in her Roswell, Georgia, townhouse on January 31.

However, the R&B crooner won’t be in Atlanta for too long. Bobby Brown is slated to perform at several Australian concerts in May, and will leave his daughter’s side once again, as he performs with Naughty By Nature’s Treach and Kay-Gee.

Meanwhile, rumors continue to surface that Pat Houston, Bobbi Kristina’s aunt, is trying to convince Bobby Brown to take his daughter off of life support, even to the point of bullying him. Financial issues seem to be where the rumors started, after an inside source claimed that money was a “big point of contention” between the family.

Pat Houston, co-executor of the Whitney Houston Estate, has never confirmed the allegations, but last month, she spoke out on Bobbi Kristina’s condition, requesting prayers as the family faces this difficult time.

Speculation around Nick Gordon, Bobbi Kristina’s 26-year-old live-in boyfriend, is as equally unsettling. While information recently surfaced that Gordon was doing well while participating in rehabilitation for drugs and alcohol, an investigation against him regarding Bobbi Kristina’s medical condition is still active and ongoing. Gordon denies any wrongdoings against Bobbi Kristina, and stated last month that he just wants her to get better.

For now, Bobbi Kristina Brown remains on life support at Atlanta’s Dekalb Medical hospital, with her dad by her side. Bobby Brown fans are extremely understanding and sympathetic to the singer’s plight, leaving strings of encouraging messages of love on his Facebook page.
