Zoe Saldana Workout Struggle: Actress Opens Up About Pressure To Lose The Baby Weight

Zoe Saldana is in the midst of a post-baby workout struggle, but the actress is sharing her story with fans in the hopes of inspiring other new moms who are having a hard time losing the baby weight.

Saldana shared with Facebook her frustrations with trying to get back into shape, and included a picture of herself on a treadmill.

“Your body changes dramatically, inside and out. You grow in places you never knew you could, and you are tired beyond belief. In some cases more than others, your body experiences a kind of trauma through childbirth that is difficult to explain unless you’ve had that experience. My case was like that, everything from my thyroid to my platelets crashed. Thank God, we are all doing great now, but my body was really bent out of shape after the boys were born.

“Bouncing back feels impossible, but I know it is important as a woman, and now a mommy, to not give up. I am determined to get my energy back and find balance for my body before these little guys start walking, and before I go back to work….. my clock is ticking.”

The actress welcomed twin boys Cy and Bowie back in November, and since then has worked hard to regain her pre-baby body.

But many people believe that Zoe Saldana is winning her workout struggle. While it may be difficult getting back into shape, Saldana has earned praise for her trim figure. This week she was photographed making a trip to Whole Foods in Santa Monica, looking slim and back in great shape.

“Accompanied by her husband Marco Perego and a group of friends – one of which was a Buddhist monk – the Avatar actress stocked up on some healthy goodies, while dressed down in skinny jeans and knee high boots,” the MailOnline noted.

It’s not the first time that Saldana earned kudos for her post-baby body. Back in February — just three months after she gave birth — Zoe showed up to the Oscars wearing a form-fitting dress, earning high marks both for her fashion and her figure.

Zoe gave credit to Versace, which has experience with dresses for other new moms.

“They have dressed other new moms before and they basically said, ‘Okay. Just give us the measurements. It’s going to be fierce,'” Saldana said. “This blush [dress] just completely blew us all away. And I felt so beautiful. I was like, ‘Okay! I can do this.'”
