Bobby Brown sang at the Soul Food Festival in Los Angeles in what marks his first time away from his daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown’s bedside since Jan. 31, when she was found unconscious in her home. During that appearance, he also spoke about the 22-year-old and her condition as she remains on life support , reported the New York Daily News .

“I dunno what the hell I am going through right now, but I am giving it to God and letting him deal with it,” said Brown.

Among the songs that were cheered were “Don’t Be Cruel,” and “On Our Own.” The singer also expressed his appreciation for the support that he has received.

“I must say, y’all. This feels really, really good. I want to thank all of y’all for coming out tonight to support me and my family. Rough times are rough times, hard times are hard times.”

However, after his sad words, he tried to show a positive side.

“There is only one thing I ask of you all tonight, and that is to enjoy yourselves,” declared the 46-year-old former husband of Whitney Houston.

In addition to singing, Bobby did a gig showcasing his barbecue sauce products, which his wife, Alicia Etheredge-Brown, helped to promote by cooking in their booth.

“I ain’t done with it yet. I got marinades and all kind of s— coming out,” boasted Bobby. “Excuse my French, baby girl. I didn’t mean to curse in front of you. And ladies too.”

However, Brown did not stay in Los Angeles, but returned to Bobbi Kristina’s bedside , reported People . Alicia, who is pregnant and expecting their second child in July, also spoke out about how the family is doing with regard to the unconscious young woman.

“[We are] doing as well as you’d expect,” said Alicia.

Other family members also have stayed by Bobbi Kristina’s side. However, it is Bobby Brown who has the power of attorney and therefore the only one authorized to make her medical decisions. She was moved to a long-term care facility recently after weeks spent in a hospital ICU, but her condition in terms of her dependency on life support has not changed during that period.

As the Inquisitr reported, Bobbi Kristina’s grandmother, Cissy Houston , also has broken her silence to speak out how about she is doing. The 81-year-old admitted how disheartened she feels after detecting no improvement in Bobbi Kristina’s condition.

“She’s the same. We’ve moved her to a place for rehabilitation. And you know, still not a great deal of hope. [We’re] still praying.”
