Nina Dobrev Shares Photos From Final Scenes As Elena Gilbert On ‘Vampire Diaries’

Nina Dobrev continues to break hearts as she takes to social media to share some of her final moments on set.

It’s true, for many Vampire Diaries fans, the news of Nina Dobrev’s departure from the show hasn’t quite kicked in as of yet, and while some of us would rather choose to ignore this fact, Nina is making it pretty hard!

Sunday, Nina took to social media to post not only a fun little video of her and some members from the Vampire Diaries set, but also a rather heartbreaking photo of her and Matt Davis, aka Alaric, shooting their final scene together.

Say it ain’t so, Nina!

While it seems as if Nina is sad to be leaving the show, it’s really the fans that seem to be more distraught over Nina’s decision to leave. Just check out their responses to her photo above.

According to Hollywood Life, while Nina did post the rather sad message to fans, she also posted a fun little video of her “enjoying” the Coachella music festival, only to be dragged back to reality by other members on the Vampire Diaries set.

In the video clip, Nina can be seen wearing a flower crown, dancing away to some music in the background. “The music is so good!” she says while swaying to the music. Moments later the music gets interrupted and you can hear a member from the production team call her name and tell her she needs to get back to work. The video ends with Nina pouting as she says “Nochella…”

It looks like if fans have to give up Nina (aka Elena) on the Vampire Diaries, Nina had to give up a good time at Coachella! Fair is fair, after all!

So, what will be the fate of Nina’s character on the Vampire Diaries now that she is leaving for good? According to an earlier report by the Inquisitr, Nina’s leaving the show could spell disaster for Elena Gilbert. If you aren’t caught up on the latest episode of the Vampire Diaries, you may want to turn away now.

Fans know that in the latest episodes before the CW show took a mini break, Bonnie returned from the prison world and has since presented Damon with the cure for vampirism. For those of you who need a refresher, Damon had previously wanted the cure to give to Elena so she could go on living a normal human life, but Katherine, also played by Nina Dobrev, ended up taking it in Season 5. Now that Bonnie has returned with the cure from the 1994 prison world, Damon is left wondering what to do.

According to the Inquisitr, this opened up an out for Nina’s character. She could either take the cure and live a normal human life, or maybe she will end up taking the cure and Elena could be killed off.

Who’s to say what will happen at this point — all fans know is that Nina Dobrev and the producers of the Vampire Diaries have promised a very event packed ending to the current sixth season of the show. Will you be tuning in?
