Jill Duggar And Derick Dillard’s Baby Has A Duggar ‘Buddy Team’

Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard are already starting to raise baby Israel David Dillard the Duggar way: with lots and lots of help.

The 19 Kids and Counting stars enlisted the entire Duggar clan to help them care for Baby Izzy. However, Jill Duggar isn’t just using her family members to help with diaper duty. According to PEOPLE, Jill’s helpers are also working as hair stylists and chauffeurs.

“My sisters and my mom and Derick’s mom have all been in to help!”

Joy Anna Duggar was tasked with braiding Jill’s hair while she was in the hospital, and Jim Bob drove Derick Dillard to an orthodontist appointment. For some odd reason, Derick thought it would be a good idea to get braces just a few short days after becoming a dad. Michelle Duggar has also been checking in on Israel and Jill, and spending time around the infant is likely making her feel broody. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Jim Bob Duggar recently said that he and his wife are trying for another child, so maybe Israel will have a younger aunt or uncle to play with in the near future.

It sounds like everyone in the Duggar clan is doing their part to take care of Jill Duggar, Derick Dillard, and Israel David. However, three Duggars have been given a bigger responsibility than the others – Joy Anna (17), Jason (14), and Jennifer (7) are part of Izzy’s “buddy team.”

According to PEOPLE, the Duggars assign a buddy team to each new baby that comes along “so that they can develop a connection with that child and look out for him or her.”

If Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard continue to live close to Jill’s family, Israel’s aunts and uncles may also act as his accountability partners someday. An accountability partner tags along with another sibling to make sure that they stay out of trouble. According to InTouch Weekly, Jim Bob Duggar provided an example of what an accountability partner does during a recent interview with Covenant Eyes, a website that provides “accountability software.” Jim Bob said that an accountability partner must be present whenever his kids use the internet for homework.

“It’s so important not to have open Internet that you can go see anything, do anything, any time you want. Especially now with the smartphones. They can go off by themselves and take it out in a hurry. It has the potential to steal somebody’s soul.”

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar aren’t just lending out three of their children to be baby Israel’s buddy team/future accountability partners — they’re also offering up Jana Duggar’s babysitting services. With so much help, Jill Duggar is going to think that motherhood is a breeze!

What do you think of Jill Duggar’s huge team of helpers? Is it a bit excessive, or is it great that she’s getting her whole family involved with baby Israel’s upbringing?
