Bobbi Kristina Brown: Bobby Brown Plans Concert Amid Nick Gordon Rehab, Investigation News — Can She Recover? [Video]

Bobbi Kristina Brown grew up in a show business family, with parents Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston forever in the spotlight. But since January 31, when she was found unconscious in the home she shared with beau Nick Gordon, the 22-year-old has remained dependent on life support, first in a hospital and now in a long-term care facility. With Whitney dead after being found in eerily parallel circumstances, Bobby has become responsible for Bobbi Kristina’s medical decisions.

But now, after initially cancelling a planned tour, Bobby Brown is picking up the pieces of his music career while Bobbi Kristina remains in a medically induced coma, reported Contact Music.

His representative denied rumors that Bobby has pressured to reschedule his concerts.

“Bobby is looking forward to performing in Australia,” said Brown’s spokesperson.

However, Bobbi Kristina’s aunt and uncle, Pat and Gary Houston, have been visiting her regularly along with Bobby, reported BET.

“It’s quiet and peaceful,” revealed a source of the facility. “The family has brought some things from home for her. Not much — just a few things, like a blanket and some pictures.”

As for the emotional drama that initially surrounded the 22-year-old, it has quieted down, added the family insider.

“Everyone’s all cried out by now. We love her and want her to recover.”

But what of Nick Gordon? The 25-year-old grew up as the unofficial adopted son of Whitney Houston, as the Inquisitr reported.

Reportedly abandoned at age 12, he was taken in by Whitney and raised as if he were Bobbi Kristina’s brother. But how did that sibling relationship turn to a love affair? That’s the question that even Dr. Phil, who interviewed Gordon after he posted suicidal tweets, could not clarify.

However, now a source is revealing how Gordon is doing after that televised intervention from Dr. Phil, reported People.

“Nick is responding well to rehab treatment with no relapses,” said the insider. “The quiet time is good for him. He needed it.”

During that interview, Gordon made it clear that he could not stop worrying about Bobbi Kristina. He also admitted to Dr. Phil that he was high and had been drinking alcohol as well as taking Xanax. But what will happen to Nick after he leaves rehab?

“Nick is a special person with many temptations and needs to be in a place where he can continue to heal and grow. He should stay for a long time – as long as he will allow.”

As far as life after rehab, the insider suggested that Nick stay secluded by moving into a halfway house especially intended for those in a fragile post-rehab situation.

“The best thing for Nick is that he is out of the way, out of the limelight,” the source said. “This way he can continue the process to improve himself and move forward in a better life. It is a blessing that he is in rehab.”

However, with regard to the police investigation into the cause of Bobbi Kristina’s condition, Gordon remains a suspect in the eyes of Bobbi Kristina’s relatives, reported Us Weekly.

Leolah Brown posted a request on social media that the press not give Nick Gordon any publicity.

“Nick Gordon is under investigation for the attempted murder of my niece Bobby Kristina Brown,” she wrote.

“We have strong evidence of foul play. Until this investigation is completed by law enforcement, I would ask that you or anyone else not provide this individual a platform to spin this situation to his benefit.”

But while Bobby Brown heads off to tour and Gordon remains secluded in rehab, can Bobbi Kristina actually recover? That’s the question Extra posed to Dr. Sasan Yadegar, a specialist in neurosurgery at Dignity Health Northridge Hospital and Trauma Center.

The physician said that it can take from three to six months before patients recover from the lack of oxygen that she experienced.

“In the best of circumstances, what happens with these patients is that you expect the first thing to return is some respiratory function, the second thing to return is their eyes may open. They may not follow commands but their eyes may open. The third thing is movement of the upper and lower extremities. That is not to commands, but due to some type of stimulus. And then slowly, and God willing, they start following some commands.”
