Marvel’s ‘The Avengers’ Movie Poster Released, It’s Totally Awesome
On Wednesday February 29 Marvel will released a new trailer for The Avengers and to prepare for that fanboy type excitement the company on Tuesday revealed a totally awesome new Avengers movie poster.
We’ve wondered how the comic book creators would manage to fit in a tremendously big cast on a single poster and the answer is simple, the cram them together in the forefront of a city in shambles that appears near the point of total destruction then you focus the main focal point on Robert Downey Journey, perhaps the biggest of the movies stars at the moment.
Regardless of how the poster was constructed it’s impressive that the artist managed to feature a cast that includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson.
No matter how many times I type all of those names in a single article it feels strange.
If you’ve been stuck in a cave and are not yet familiar with the plot it surrounds Thor’s brother Loki who is trying to destroy Earth. In order to gain the upper hand some of the most memorable Marvel comic book characters of all time ban together to fight for Earth’s survival.
Strangely both Captain America and Tony Stark are on the field of battle without their trademark headgear on, I guess it’s hard to pose for the artist when you’re hidden behind your secret identity, unless of course your Spider-Man or Batman.
The Avengers premieres on May 4 at which point we’ll all be waiting in incredibly long lines to watch what is almost certain to become one of the biggest blockbusters of 2012.
