Miley Cyrus Receives Death Threats

Miley Cyrus had an interesting evening before she got to ‘Vanity Fair’s Oscar party last night for some throw down fun. Cyrus went on Twitter to tell her fans she had been getting death threats. She also was defiant saying she doesn’t let anyone talk to her that way!

Cyrus tweeted to her fans,

“I wont tolerate someone telling me 2 die,”

She then went on to tell her side of the story and to elaborate on the threats she received. Sher also called out Twitter and said the social networking site needs to implement more stringent security policies.

She said,

“I think Twitter needs to take some responsibility and make it a safe environment!”

Miley went after one of the jerks who had been threatening her on Twitter tweeting back at @thecyrusslut,

“U have nothing better 2 do than hate? That saddens me. Im surrounded by love Im sorry 4 whatever happened 2 make u so bitter.”

Cyrus’ public war against the threats caused her fans to go into a total uproar, with her fans lighting up Twitter with messages of support and messages of hate for the bullies.

Miley Cyrus is one of the celebrities who have truly embraced social networking as a way to reach out to their fans. She has used the sites for activism and just to keep people informed about what she is doing with her life.
