Jill Duggar remains on baby watch with husband Derick Dillard and her 19 Kids And Counting mom Michelle Duggar. With fans constantly pleading for updates on the progress of the baby, who was due in March, the Dillards revealed that 23-year-old new-mom-to-be Jill is feeling fine, reported E! News.
Derick is worried about his wife, but trying to stay positive by focusing on guiding her nutrition, revealed the 26-year-old.
“I’ll try and add up her protein every day, make sure we’re getting 60 to 80 grams of protein,” shared Dillard. “At the same time you don’t want to get too much because you don’t want to have a 10 lb. baby.”
As for Jill, she’s relaxed about the baby’s delayed due date.
“We’ll see whenever baby Dilly makes his appearance.”
Both Jill and Derick are taking time to celebrate the anniversary of the date that they got engaged.
“One year ago I got down and proposed to Jill,” recalled Derick happily.
“And I said, ‘Yes, totally!’ ” chimed in Jill.
In addition, Derick headed to Instagram to share his romantic recollections.
“One year ago today, she said yes. Happy engagement anniversary to my beautiful bride @jillmdillard I love you Jill Michelle! #newlyweds.”
On the official 19 Kids And Counting family site for Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, the count-down to baby watch just received an update.
“Do you think Baby Dilly is camera shy? Jill Dillard is 41 weeks and 4 days pregnant and so far has only had Braxton Hicks contractions. When do you think he will arrive?”
In addition, the official Duggar Family Blog Twitter account offered an update to contradict rumors that the baby had arrived.
“No baby announcement yet! She’s still pregnant!”
However, it was Derick who unleashed the rumors that Jill Duggar was in labor, reported the Christian Post.
“The Lord called me from the womb, from the body of my mother he named my name,” posted Derick, quoting the Bible.
However, when he realized that some media outlets had interpreted that post as an announcement that his wife was having the baby, he quickly added a follow-up clarification.
“Baby Dilly will come in God’s timing.”
Jill revealed that she did have Braxton-Hicks contractions and had misinterpreted them as labor pains. To try to induce labor naturally, she and her husband consumed spicy food.
“Out to lunch…maybe this spicy Mexican food will make the baby come! Only Braxton Hicks contractions with this weather so far. We shall see what the weekend brings! #nobabyyet #lunchwithmyhubby.”
As the Inquisitr reported, Michelle Duggar has also revealed her views on whether she wants to have another baby. She and Jim Bob visited a fertility doctor to determine the possibility.
“Conception is not totally impossible, but most unlikely,” shared Michelle.
