The face-off can be described as the clash of the titans, as two No. 1 teams meet for all the glory and millions of fans hold their breaths for the one final confrontation of this very exciting season. If the last game of the college basketball season is anything like the last couple of games have been, we are in for some heart-stopping action.
No. 1 Wisconsin (36-3) arrives to the National Championship after toppling the previously undefeated Kentucky Wildcats in dramatic fashion on Saturday night. This will be the first title for the Badgers in over 70-years and the entire state is mesmerized.
“These guys just gutted it out,” Wisconsin Head Coach Bo Ryan proudly said of his team. “We just kept battling on every possession.”
Despite the 71-64 result, the final moments of the Wisconsin vs. Kentucky game were a lot closer than many of their fans wanted, however, the Badgers prevailed in a tough loss for the Wildcats. Now they must face one of the best of the best. No. 1 Duke (34-4) is a four-time National Champion and won comfortably, 81-61 against Michigan State.

“The defense was terrific,” Duke Head Coach Mike Krzyzewski said after the Michigan State game. “We drove the ball with such strength. I actually think our offense gave our defense a push.”

According to CNN, the Duke Blue Devils have been successful in the Final Four in Indianapolis winning titles there in 1991 and 2010, with two additional crowns in 1992 and 2001 in Minneapolis.
