Mike Huckabee Calls GOP Presidential Race A “Toxic Atmosphere” Then Attacks Obama [Video]

Mike Hackabee didn’t run for the GOP nomination for President this time around because he feels that his own party has created a “toxic atmosphere” that focuses less on politics and more on talking about why each candidate is better then the President Obama.

Speaking with an Israeli TV station Huckabee revealed:

“A lot of it is that I think that there’s just such a toxic atmosphere now, specifically in the Republican Party. And I would love to be able to say that it’s going to be all about ideas and solutions, but unfortunately a lot of it is just being able to say I (am) more angry at the Obama administration than somebody else. That’s not what motivates me politically or governmentally.”

While the atmosphere of running for President might be “toxic” Huckabee since President Obama has come into office has often taken the same type of pot shots including in this most recent interview (shown below). It’s likely that the former Presidential GOP hopeful was referring more specifically to the atmosphere of running for President rather then in the actual criticisms of the Commander in Chief.

When asked if he had any plans to run for the office of the President in 2016 he revealed:

“You never rule anything out for the long term. I’m not making an announcement, but certainly when people say would you ever do it, the answer I very might well do that. But I knew that this was not the good year for me. So I’ll help whoever is our nominee. I hope they get elected and if they do, I’ll help them get reelected in 2016.”

Do you think Mike Huckabee could become the President of the United States if he ran for the countries top office at the right time or has he lost favor with the American public too much during his time as a TV personality?
