Will Amber Sabathia Join ‘RHONJ?’ She Comments On Photo Of Melissa Gorga & Traci Lynn Johnson

Amber Sabathia is one of many women rumored to be in talks to join The Real Housewives of New Jersey for the show’s upcoming sixth season, and while she hasn’t addressed the news directly, she did weigh in on a possible cast photo.

As the Inquisitr reported, Melissa and Joe Gorga enjoyed a meal with rumored new housewife Traci Lynn Johnson and her husband, Tiki Barber, on Tuesday night. Although the couple previously denied reports of their addition to the Bravo series, it certainly raised a few eyebrows when both Melissa and Traci shared photos of their dinner with fans on Instagram — especially after Barber noted the Gorgas as his and Johnson’s “new friends.”

In addition to Johnson’s rumored new role on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Amber Sabathia’s name has also been mentioned. Last month, E! News reported on the Season 6 casting changes, claiming Sabathia, the wife of baseball player CC Sabathia, had been approached to participate in the series, but ultimately turned Bravo down. At the time, E! News claimed Hala Kerik, the wife of former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik, had also been approached by Bravo.

According to the report, producers were hoping to “glam up” the sixth season with the addition of Amber Sabathia, Traci Lynn Johnson, and possibly a couple of other women, as well.

“When producers approached Traci, they told her they were revamping the show. Their goal is to include more well-known names and make New Jersey look more glamorous, like the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

“Potential new cast members are being told the show will take an entirely different direction. The focus isn’t going to be on Teresa and her family’s legal troubles. It’s time for a fresh start. More fun and more glam.”

Although E! News claimed Amber Sabathia and her husband didn’t want to expose their lives to the world, she did weigh in on the latest photo of Melissa and Joe Gorga with Johnson and Barber. In the caption of the March 31 photo, Amber Sabathia posted an emoji of a woman with her hand in the air. While that doesn’t exactly confirm her interest in the show, it does tie her to the rumors, and since Johnson’s denial of her addition appears to have been a decoy, Amber Sabathia could still join the show.

If Amber Sabathia does decide to sign on to the series, fans likely won’t get an official confirmation for several more months, as the show hasn’t yet been renewed by Bravo.
