NeNe Leakes & Kim Zolciak Discuss Their Spinoff ‘The Road To Riches’

NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak are reuniting on Bravo for their very own Real Housewives of Atlanta spinoff, The Road to Riches, and in a new interview, the pair opened up about their excitement.

“One of the things I’m most excited about is working with Kim, just the two of us,” NeNe Leakes told E! News on March 31. “I just left Housewives where I was working with like, six monsters. Working on a show like [Real Housewives] tears friendships apart.”

NeNe Leakes starred alongside Zolciak for years on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and on the show, the now-friends had plenty of ups and downs. However, they claim their current relationship is very stable — especially considering the other Housewives aren’t involved.

As Zolciak pointed out, having other women giving their opinions on her friendship with NeNe Leakes was never a good thing.

“It will be good not having anyone interfering with [NeNe Leakes] and I. We’re back to we started twelve years ago, no other noise. No other people talking nonsense.”

As the Inquisitr reported earlier this week, NeNe Leakes’ spinoff with Zolciak was announced during a recent Upfront presentation in New York City. Following the news, NeNe Leakes took to her blog, where she revealed her show would be called The Road To Riches. A short time later, the official description of the series hit the web.

“Atlanta’s ‘most driven’ housewives…drive out of their comfort zones and across the country to discover America on a one-of-a-kind adventure. The road to LA may be paved with good intentions, but that doesn’t mean they won’t occasionally drive each other crazy.”

On March 30, Zolciak shared the following message with fans on Instagram, confirming that in addition to The Road To Riches, she would also soon be seen in the fourth season of her solo spinoff, Don’t Be Tardy:

“As I sit here on my flight back home It just hit me! DONT BE TARDY season 4 was announced today airing the end of August and of course my new show Road to Riches with [NeNe Leakes] which Nene and I are executive producers on, I’m feeling so blessed!”

Zolciak appeared in a wedding special titled, Don’t Be Tardy to the Wedding, after leaving the Real Housewives of Atlanta years ago. Because of the special’s success, Zolciak continued filming her personal life with husband Kroy Biermann for Don’t Be Tardy, which was recently renewed for Season 4.

As for NeNe Leakes, her future with The Real Housewives of Atlanta remains uncertain. However, she said she had “just left” the series in her March 31 interview with E! News.

NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak’s series hasn’t yet received a premiere date.
