Do you have the winning Powerball numbers for April 1? It won’t be a joke if you match all six numbers on your ticket on Wednesday night, but make sure a prankster doesn’t trick you into thinking you won $50 million — it’s a classic April Fools’ Day joke.
The Powerball results will be revealed at 11 p.m. ET on these local TV channels , and will also be posted here shortly after the drawing. Keep your ticket close by — you don’t want a prankster to switch yours with a fake lottery ticket.

April Fools’ pranks aside, if you really do have the winning ticket in Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing, you’ll take home a cool $50 million before taxes. According to US Mega, winners have a choice of how they will receive their prize .
- Annuity: The winner would get a yearly check for approximately $1.25 million after 25 percent federal taxes are taken out will. The money is spread out over 30 years, with the first payment made shortly after claiming the ticket at a local lottery headquarters.
- Lump Sum: The winner of the $50 million Powerball jackpot would take home approximately $33.4 million before Uncle Sam takes his share.
According to Philly.com , the last time someone won the Powerball jackpot was March 25, The $40 million winning ticket was sold at Rocklins Stationers in Teaneck, New Jersey. Just four days prior on March 21, a lucky ticket holder in Tennessee matched all six numbers, winning the $50 million grand prize.
