WWE fans around the world thought they knew what was going to happen in the main event of WrestleMania. It was either going to be Brock Lesnar walking out strong with the WWE World Heavyweight championship, or Roman Reigns finally reigning supreme on WWE’s biggest stage. Either way, members of the WWE Universe were stubborn all the way until the end.
Nearly three-and-a-half hours passed, and the WWE World Heavyweight title match was about to start. The first 10 minutes of the bout looked like “John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar” at WWE’s SummerSlam. Lesnar dominated from the get-go with multiple german suplexes and very stiff shots to the face of Roman Reigns.
At the end of the match, Reigns connected on three “superman punches” and two spears. Lesnar then kicked out of all of that. All of a sudden, Seth Rollins’ music hits and the rest was history. Seth Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase and won the WWE World Heavyweight championship. Rollins was caught by WWE programming after the historic victory.
Rollins was Triple H’s hand-picked guy to win the NXT championship. The Iowa-native secured a chance at the WWE title with a win at Money in the Bank, and now Rollins is being counted on to represent the WWE as their flag-bearer. It hasn’t even been 24 hours and the new-WWE champion will appear on NBC’s the Today Show.

Everything about the WrestleMania main event match played perfectly into Vince McMahon’s hands. Nobody saw that exact result coming. There were the WWE fans that wanted to see a cash-in, but nobody expected a triple threat match to occur. Rollins cashed in during the match, while at the same time, being the only man to cash in successfully at WrestleMania.
Jim Ross, former-WWE announcer, took to Twitter to express his pleasure with the main event. His words resonate with the superstars in the match and bookers behind the scenes.
Well done @WWE Title bout…excellently executed..beatable, heel champion..Lesnar wasn’t pinned..Reigns & Rollins have an issue..worked well

Seth Rollins did the unimaginable last night at WrestleMania, which capped off a legendary event. Speculation of a disappointing event surrounded the WWE Universe weeks leading up to the card. McMahon, Triple H and the rest of the WWE officials helped put on one of the best WrestleMania’s of all-time, and Seth Rollins put the stamp on it.
