Matthew Perry Heads to ‘The Good Wife’

Matthew Perry has just been cast on “The Good Wife.” The former Friends actor will reportedly have a recurring role on the show as a Chicago attorney but the number of episodes that Perry will appear in is unknown.

Robert and Michelle King, executive producers of “The Good Wife,” said in a statement:

“No one skates as effortlessly between drama and comedy as Matthew Perry, so we’re especially thrilled to have him on the show. We’re huge, huge fans, and are nearly giddy over what he can do with the role.”

Access Hollywood reports that Perry will play a “ultra-charming” Chicago attorney who is “in charge of investigating a police shooting.”

Perry’s role on “The Good Wife” will be his first major TV role since his show, “Mr. Sunshine,” was cancelled last year after one season.
