New Ghost Recon: Future Soldier trailer details animations, cover [Video]

Ubisoft is kicking off a new video series for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, and the first in the series shows us what the game’s animation and cover systems will look like.

The video notes that Ghost Recon: Future Soldier has 2,500 animations for the main character alone, and that all of the motion capture was performed by former Navy Seal operatives. The goal, Ubisoft explains, is to give players the sensation of moving around as “one of the best of the best.”

Ghsot Recon: Future Soldier is expected to release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on May 22, but Ubisoft will be releasing a multiplayer demo ahead of release. Ubisoft hasn’t said exactly when that will take place just yet, but an April release date for the beta is expected.

Contrary to what Ubisoft said late last year, it looks like a PC release is in the cards as well, but at a later date. Originally, Ubisoft said it scrapped plans to release a a PC version due to “piracy” concerns, but the publisher recently had a change of heart–so it’s coming, but we don’t exactly when.
