WWE News: What Mainly Led To WWE World Champion Brock Lesnar Re-Signing With WWE

As we’ve heard by now, current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar has decided to retire officially from the octagon but not from Pro-Wrestling. He ended up signing a new deal with WWE at the latest WWE RAW taping in LA on Monday. This was not very shocking to many, but Brock was preparing to go back to the MMA world. He was a legit UFC Heavyweight Champion and beat some of the best in the division. However, he has not fought since 2011 and hes nearing 40 years of age.

Many wanted to know, what led to Lesnar’s decision to stay? Was it the money involved? His body?

It was certainly a money end of course. He claims WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon made him an offer he couldn’t refuse. His body also played a factor, as he was nearing an older age and realized he has a short window.

On top of all of this, it came down to family. According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, friends close to Lesnar claim that his wife Sable didn’t want him to return for professional fighting.

He was making a lot of money with WWE and they offered him a multi-year deal with full-time pay at a part-time schedule. The same thing that he had before.

It is thought that Vince even threw in a few more incentives to stay and could have offered a better deal money wise. There is some who think that he threw in Lesnar winning at WrestleMania 31 on Sunday. While that is just rumored, it wouldn’t be shocking to see. Especially when Triple H had been pitching a similar idea to Vinny Mac for over a week beforehand.

There is a thought among many that Roman Reigns is not ready. While he is liked a lot by all the right people and by the locker room as a whole, and the fact that he learns well is present….that guarantees nothing.

It all depends on what WWE wants to do with Lesnar. The thought among many is that now Lesnar has re-signed, it makes the main event of WrestleMania far more interesting. It could literally go any way at this point. We knew with Lesnar leaving, it would be obvious Reigns would win. Now that Lesnar has decided to stay, it makes things far more interesting as it opens up the concept of Lesnar retaining which was always in doubt due to the re-signing not taking place. Now that it has, a lot of interesting things could occur even unrelated to the WWE World Title.
