Hannibal Buress allegedly went above and beyond during his speech at Justin Bieber speech earlier this month.
According to a now-viral reddit post, the 32-year-old Broad City actor actually found a way to mock the Justin Bieber roast, slam the man-of-honor (Justin Bieber), and somehow shine the spotlight on himself all at the same time.
In the first picture, the caption seems to depict what could be the introduction of Hannibal’s speech in which he explains how his appearance at the roast essentially went against its definition and purpose.
“They say that you roast the ones you love, but I don’t like you at all, man. I’m just here because it’s a real good opportunity for me.”
If that was not harsh enough, Hannibal Buress allegedly took things one step further within the caption of the second picture posted.
According to the caption, he advised Justin Bieber to thank him for even being willing to participate in the event at all. The icing on the cake is when he allegedly expresses how he felt about the roast overall.
“Actually you should thank me for participating in this extremely transparent attempt to be more likable in the public eye. And, I hope it doesn’t work.”
Reddit user JerseyDeadHead posted the pictures on Tuesday along with the title, “The realest thing I’ve heard all day and it was at the roast of Justin Bieber.”
If Hannibal Buress did make those comments while roasting Justin Bieber, it would not be the first time that he made waves with something that he said.
During a stand-up comedy show in Philadelphia last year, Hannibal made headlines by explaining how Bill Cosby was a rapist. Hannibal even admitted that his comments about Bill Cosby led to death threats from loyal fans of the Cosby Show star.

However, in the months following the release of that now-viral footage, a substantial number of women have come forward with allegations supporting Hannibal’s claims.
The Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber is not scheduled to air until March 30. However, quite a few jokes (and omitted jokes) have made headlines since the event was filmed earlier this month.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, there were a couple of controversial jokes made by Jeff Ross and SNL cast member Pete Davidson, which referenced the death of Paul Walker. However, due to the insensitivity and bad timing of the jokes, Comedy Central confirmed that they were removed from the broadcast.
