Lady Gaga: In A Wedding, A Bridesmaid Before Being A Bride

The old saying “always a bridesmaid never a bride” won’t apply to Lady Gaga, who’s engaged to her longtime beau, Chicago Fire actor Taylor Kinney. Kinney romantically popped the question on Valentine’s Day.

Gaga, 28, was a beautiful bridesmaid in her best friend’s wedding and blended in as much as possible, apparently trying not to upstage the bride. The Louisiana wedding took place on Friday, March 20, according to Us Weekly. But, when you’re Lady Gaga with a unique sense of style, it’s hard not to stand out.

Even though she wore the same, traditional-type bridesmaid dress as the others in the wedding party, Gaga did not disappoint with her various other ensembles. Gaga changed hair color on various days to match her color-wheel ensembles, always looking sophisticated. But there was no meat dress or emerging from an egg for this conventional ceremony. For the wedding service, she wore an elegant violet halter-neck dress with a large bow, reminiscent of spring flowers. Her hair was her traditional platinum blonde, parted down the center.

Lady Gaga posted a picture on Instagram of the coordinating pink pumps she wore, with her shapely legs resting on her dashboard, also showing off her huge engagement rock, the 15-carat heart-shaped diamond by Lorraine Schwartz. That alone made her stand out.

She posted the following, about the joy and fun of the relatively normal times she shared with her friends, according to Us Weekly.

“Watching your best friend get married, these are the specialist times in my life. Seeing happiness in the lives of all my friends.”

She also enjoyed outings with friends on the following day. Donning the perennial “little black dress,” and matching dark tresses, with classic pearls, and queried, “Drinks ladies?”

During other revelries, she sexily donned a slinky, emerald green satin number with spaghetti straps, according to the Daily Mail. Paired with contrasting auburn hair, she was again a knock-out. The floor-length gown was a classic, and she looked like a Grecian goddess.

Let’s face it: It’s hard for Lady Gaga to not stand out — especially as she had so many chameleon-like changes. But her fans — her little “monsters” — wouldn’t have it any other way. After all, Lady Gaga is the entire package: a voice that can go from singing “Paparazzi” (who of course really do trail her to see what she’s up to next) to a heavenly compilation from The Sound of Music. And she has her own sense of style to boot.

But Lady Gaga has more than just serving as a bridesmaid and planning her own presumably lavish wedding on her plate. According to the Inquisitr, she’s set to act on the upcoming season of American Horror Story: Hotel, flexing her acting chops.
